Chief Operating Officer
Jean-Luc is Chief Operating Officer of White Lodging. In this role, he oversees all operations, revenue strategy, sales and marketing for the company.
Prior to this role, he serves as the Vice President of Food and Beverage. His leadership in driving our food and beverage program to be best-in-class has moved White Lodging forward in our ability to succeed in urban markets.
Throughout his hospitality career, Jean-Luc has held a variety of roles in both restaurant and hotel operations as well in above property corporate food and beverage. Some of these roles include executive chef, director of food and beverage, director of operation and hotel manager, as well as corporate director of food and beverage in Canada for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
In 2010, Jean-Luc was awarded the Chief Sales Officer Award from Starwood North America. This distinction is awarded to the General Manager who demonstrated the highest level of engagement around sales and marketing. In 2009, Barone’s team won North America Best Revenue Management Team of the when he served as the general manager for The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. In 2011, Jean-Luc moved to Starwood world headquarters as Global Vice President Food and Beverage.
Jean Luc is no stranger to community service, as he also serves as the President of the cookery division of SuperChefs Inc., an organization whose mission is to eradicate childhood obesity through entertainment and education. The organization participates in many community events, and provides cooking lessons during summer camps.
