Kimpton Santo opening in late 2024
On target to open by the end of 2024, this will be Kimpton’s first property in San Antonio and the fourth of its kind in Texas, weaving the city's rich historic culture into the very fabric of each guest's experience to create a welcome respite for those traveling through the Alamo City.
Located in the Central Business District and at the intersection of the city’s vibrant La Villita and Southtown neighborhoods, the 347-room hotel will be part new-build and part adaptive reuse of an 1850s-original schoolhouse. The hotel and restaurants are walkable to some of the city’s most popular destinations, including the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, RiverWalk, Alamo Plaza Historic District, and the newly redeveloped Hemisfair Park, a 92-acre park that houses the Tower of the Americas.
The property will boast a modern 10-story tower housing a spacious lobby, luxurious guest rooms, and a rooftop pool and lounge with views overlooking downtown and the neighboring green space. It will feature two historic buildings adapted to become a high-end steakhouse, a lively lobby bar, and multiple one-of-a-kind hotel suites. The Kimpton Santo will also feature more than 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event spaces and an unmatched outdoor entertainment venue for guests and the community to enjoy.
