Deno Yiankes

President & CEO Investments and Development Division

Mr. Yiankes leads White Lodging’s Investment and Development division which is responsible for the organization’s deal sourcing, underwriting, equity deployment, development, legal and finance functions. During his tenure with White Lodging, his team has developed and opened over 150 newly constructed hotels and has been instrumental in negotiating and transacting on over $4 billion of hotel real estate. Prior to joining White Lodging in 1990, Mr. Yiankes served as Senior Associate with HVS International in Mineola, New York and has also worked in a variety of front and back of house operational roles at the hotel & restaurant property level while working his way through college.

He has co-authored chapters in Hotel Investments and Hotel Asset Management – Principles & Practices, two industry resource books published by the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AHLA) Educational Institute. Mr. Yiankes serves on Marriott International’s National Association (MINA) Advisory Board, is a member/past president of Hospitality Asset Managers Association, past member of the Urban Land Institute’s Hotel Development Council and currently serves on AHLA’s Hospitality Investment Roundtable.

Mr. Yiankes received a bachelor’s degree with honors in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from Purdue University Northwest where he serves on the Chancellor’s Advisory Board. He continues to work closely with Purdue Northwest’s School of Hospitality Management and has established two annual merit and need based scholarships within the program.
