Steve Handler

Vice President, Financial Management

Mr. Handler joined White Lodging in 1994 and currently oversees the project accounting department, providing accounting and reporting for all hotels in the development/construction phase. He oversees cash management for the hotels and corporate office which involves the movement of cash for investment purposes, the payables processes and any other needs. He is directly responsible for the review, issuance and filing of year-end financial statements and tax returns prepared internally and by public accountants. He is also involved with obtaining financing for construction projects. Previously, he served as Finance Manager where he was responsible for performing hotel and corporate cash management, preparation of year-end tax returns, review of the year-end financial statements and tax returns prepared by public accountants, and loan compliance and reporting. He graduated with honors with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and is a Certified Public Accountant. He’s a member of the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the CashPro Advisory Board for LaSalle Bank.
