Joseph Bocherer

Full Service Regional Director of Sales and Marketing

With more than 15 years of hotel experience, Joe Bocherer brings to White Lodging extensive sales and marketing knowledge for both group and transient-driven business –representing a diverse group of properties from select and extended stay, to full-service convention hotels and conference centers ranging from 200 to 1,264 rooms.

Spending the last 10 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, he most recently served as Regional Vice President of Sales for the company’s Select Service division. In this role he successfully launched Hyatt Place and Summerfield Suites by Hyatt from the ground up, overseeing multiple regions including the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic – eventually settling in the Midwest region where he was responsible for the growth and revenue of 18 hotels.

Joe also held positions as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Regency Columbus, Hyatt on Capitol Square Columbus, and Associate Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Atlanta. He was named a Director of Sales of the Year Finalist in 2003 and nominated twice for Sales Team of the Year under his leadership.

His early experience includes Director of Sales at Marriott’s Residence Inn Perimeter Center, in addition to various sales manager roles at Stormont Trice’s Emory Conference Center Hotel and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Atlanta.

Currently Joe is responsible for driving revenue and market share results for White Lodging Service’s full-service portfolio. In this role, Joe offers strategic direction and oversees the execution of all sales tactics to maximize the value of every asset.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from The Pennsylvania State University and was a recipient of the Hotel and Restaurant Management School’s Emerging Professional Award.
