The White Lodging accounting team lives by its motto, “Timely, Accurate and Efficient.” The motto guides the team to meet the needs of its stakeholders while balancing the time demands of its resources. Our team continuously reviews processes and utilizes the latest technology.
Our accounting staff is in constant communication with hotel managers to maintain the reliability and integrity of financial statement information. Credit and audit teams help to reduce risk by monitoring bad debt and testing internal audit processes against SSAE 16 requirements. Our more than 11,000 associates look to the expertise of our payroll department to accurately transfer and process their Kronos transactions through our Lawson enterprise system. Our accounts payable department consolidates and centrally pays vendors utilizing scanning technology and electronic approvals. By constantly monitoring state and local government web sites, our tax team ensures that not only taxes are filed on time, but calculated with the most recent information available.
Working across all three divisions of White Lodging, the IT department is uniquely qualified to design and monitor the technology in your property. The department is involved from a hotel’s conception, including technology in the discussion of project management with the development division and working directly with the operations division to provide technology for the property’s business needs. We leverage the size of our centralized systems for the benefit of our owners. The department maintains strong relationships with brand technology champions, and has representatives serving on both the Marriott and Starwood technology advisory councils.

It is the charge of Human Resources to ensure a career-focused foundation is established, which supports a culture of “A” players. We partner with our associates, hotel operators and owners to maximize this talent, while monitoring federal, state, and local employment laws and guidelines for compliance. Our risk management team partners to minimize exposure, while maximizing cost controls in worker’s and unemployment compensation as well as other related expenses. Our compensation and benefits team partners to provide a package that is both competitive and affordable. And, our associate relations team partners to encourage a working environment of trust and respect that diminishes the potential appeal of third party involvement.
Due to the strength of White Lodging’s reputation and the depth of our relationships with key financial institutions, the finance department is able to secure loans for construction and permanent financing at competitive rates and terms. During construction periods, the finance department can also efficiently and effectively handle the draw process with lenders and any owner reporting needs. Our utilization of top financial organizations for cash management services allows us access to the latest technology to help ensure assets are appropriately being safeguarded.
