FLATZ Restaurant’s Executive Chef Sean Rush Continues to Build Reputation as one of the Local Area’s Top Young Chefs
Chef Rush named White Lodging’s Chef of the Year of all the company’s managed properties
Broomfield, Colo. (July 22, 2013): White Lodging Services and Flatz Restaurant are pleased to announce that Executive Chef Sean Rush has been recognized as the Chef of the Year across the company’s managed properties.

The young chef’s recent recognition is added to his existing repertoire of awards including the 2012 Dining Out Magazine “Top Young Chefs” in the Denver Metro Region, 2012 1st Place Winner of the Town of Superior Chili Cook Off, 2012 Customer Preference Award from Open Table and the 2012 Large Business of the Year of the Town of Superior Chamber of Commerce.

Originally from Indiana, Chef Rush began his career in medical sales after obtaining a psychology degree from Ball State University. At 25, he took his career path in a different direction and attended Johnson and Wales University in Colorado for culinary arts. As part of his education program and after his graduation in 2009, Chef Rush obtained a position at Flatz Restaurant where he quickly escalated from intern, kitchen supervisor, sous chef to the position of executive chef.
Since his time at Flatz Restaurant, Chef Rush has been committed to the restaurant’s food forward philosophy. The food forward philosophy helps to encourage the associates to make every guest feel special and enjoy a great experience.
