Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Welcomes Authors to Hotel for Book Signings During Gen Con

Circle City Bar & Grille to serve themed cocktails based on books

Indianapolis, Ind. – Aug. 7, 2013 – The Indianapolis Marriott Downtown is excited to welcome authors Steve Wollett and Michael West to the hotel for book signings during the week of Gen Con.

Blasphemous Cocktails, written by Steve Wollett was inspired during Gen Con 2012, sitting at the bar inside Circle City Bar & Grille. Wollett is excited to be back just a year later with his finished book in hand and the opportunity for his first book signing.

“The cocktails are all based on horror stories,” Wollett said. “The book is the culmination of thirty years getting together every Friday night with the same group of guys and experimenting.”

Five of the cocktails featured in his book will be served at Circle City Bar & Grille Thursday through Sunday during Gen Con. Some of his favorites include: “Black Death” featuring Kahlua, Sambuca, Bailey’s and half and half or the “Flying Purple People Eater” featuring light rum, coconut rum, blue curacao, lime, club soda and grenadine.

Wollett is a senior partner and game editor for www.notthesingularity.com and wrote "Clockwork Drama" a deck of cards for role players to expand their gaming drama. He is currently working on a new game called "Tactical Chess" that is due out in early 2014. Wollett will be available for book signing Friday, August 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Michael West, author of Wide Game, Cinema of Shadows, Poseidon’s Children, Spook House, Vampires Don’t Sparkle! and Skull Full of Kisses will also be signing his books at the hotel on Saturday, August 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Circle City Bar & Grille.

The hotel will also be serving cocktails inspired by his writings.

“I love creating new worlds and new characters to live in those worlds. When I write, it's like I'm watching this amazing movie play out in my mind and I'm trying to get it all down on paper so other people can enjoy it too,” said West.
