WHITE LODGING APPOINTS MINNICH AS GENERAL MANAGER OF
HILTON GARDEN INN WARRENVILLE, IL OPENING FALL 2008
MERRILLVILLE, IN (July 18, 2008) – White Lodging, one of the country’s fastest growing independently owned hotel companies, announced today the appointment of Ben Minnich to the post of general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Naperville/Warrenville (28351 Dodge Drive; 630-393-3223), located just outside of Chicago. Most recently, Minnich served as rooms operation manager for the recently opened Sheraton Erie Bayfront convention hotel in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Minnich, 29, joined White Lodging in August 2001, after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management from Tiffin University. He has held several positions within the company including work as assistant general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Louisville, Colo.; general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Lakewood, Colo.; and general manager of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Westminster, Colo.
In his time at White Lodging, Minnich has received numerous accolades including the company’s prestigious General Manager of the Year Award in 2006, Front Office Manager of the Year Award in 2003 and was ranked in the top ten percent in the brand for overall guest satisfaction in 2007 for his role as general manager at the SpringHill Suites in Westminster, Colo.

The 135-room Hilton Garden Inn Warrenville is scheduled to open this fall. Located 30 miles west of downtown Chicago, the hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers alike and is within miles of the corporate headquarters of BP, Exelon, Fermilab, Lucent Technologies and Nicor. The hotel is also just a short car ride to area attractions like the Cantera AMC Theater, Westfield Fox Valley Mall, Morton Arboretum and Odyssey Fun World.
Founded by Bruce White in 1985, White Lodging has expanded its managed portfolio over the past ten years from 52 hotels to 135, growing their employment from 2,100 associates to more than 6,000 today.
