Notable Development

The 130-room Residence Inn Chicago/Wilmette opened in May 2014 with 660 square feet of meeting space.

Just a short distance from downtown Chicago, the Village of Wilmette is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. It is easily accessible to downtown Chicago via Chicago Transit Authority’s Purple Line, Metra commuter trains (Union Pacific Railroad and Northwestern Railway) and the Pace suburban bus system.

Wilmette is known for its lakefront, tree-lined streets, green street lanterns and brick streets. In addition, the village is home to Baha’i House of Worship, the continental Baha’i House of Worship for North America and presently the only one in the United States. Other attractions include Gillson Park which offers beach access and a marina; and several shopping venues including Old Orchard Mall, Plaza del Lago (one of the nation’s oldest shopping centers), Edens Plaza and West Lake Plaza.

A number of nationally recognized businesses are headquartered within a 5-mile radius of this hotel. Kraft Foods, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Northwestern Healthcare, Rush Medical Center and Northwestern University are an easy commute from the Residence Inn Wilmette.
