JW MARRIOTT INDIANAPOLIS DOWNTOWN, IN
When the JW Marriott Indianapolis opened in February 2011, its impact on the Indianapolis skyline was already well-known. A year later, the Lombardi Trophy graced the façade of the building and made it an iconic symbol of Indianapolis hosting football’s biggest game.
Our hospitality peers have taken notice, awarding the 34-floor hotel Marriott’s Full Service Opening of the Year award for 2011 and the Development of the Year for 2011 from the America’s Lodging Investment Summit. The hotel was selected as one of the world’s best new hotels in 2011 by Luxury Travel Magazine, was awarded the #4 Reader's Choice Best Hotel in the Midwest by Condé Nast Traveler for 2015.
But our peers aren’t the only ones who appreciate the beauty and majesty of the downtown hotel. The JW Marriott Indianapolis had 500,000 definite room nights booked by the hotel’s opening in a pre-opening sales effort commenced over three years prior to the hotel’s opening.
The hotel boasts 1,005 rooms, 104,000 square feet of meeting space, a 40,500-square foot ballroom and a covered walkway to the Indiana Convention Center, making it the perfect destination for large conventions. Guests have access to hand-crafted Italian cuisine at Osteria Pronto, or outdoor dining at Tavern on the Plaza. And they can catch the game at the high-tech High Velocity sports bar, featuring 50 high definition TVs.
